How the layers relate
Three records exist for this asset and they serve different purposes:
- Land register
- Register of record for legal title. Authoritative.
- Token contract
- Record of fractional beneficial interests. Mirrors the register.
- Deed register
- Platform record issued to each holder, referencing both of the above.
Where the token record and the land register disagree, the land register prevails. The platform operates a reconciliation process between the two and reports any discrepancy.
Governance
Decisions reserved to holders include disposal of the property, refinancing, and any change to the distribution policy. Voting is by token balance on the record date. Day-to-day property management is delegated to the appointed manager under the terms of the management agreement, and the vehicle's corporate administration is performed by its corporate services provider.
